Has Your On Line E-mail Account Been Hacked Yet?

Well many have, including mine, for my personal G-mail Account was just hacked this week.  This is where as someone gains access to your on line e-mail account such as Yahoo, G-mail, Hotmail, Outlook Etc. Etc., either by hacking into it or with a worm that gains access to your account and sends out spamming e-mails, in Your Name, to everyone that is within your on line Contact Address Book.  These e-mails are always just a simply one that say, Greetings, Thought You Would Like To Know, Just Wanted To Share This With You or something like this and a link to either a web site that is selling something or worst yet, a web site that will install malware and/or viruses to ones computer that can cause harm.  And while all the experts say, including Yahoo, that if this happens to You that you should change your e-mail account password immediately, which I have done, but then I starting thinking about it and if my account had been hacked and someone got my old password, what is going to prevent them from doing it again with a new password?  Or what if it is a worm that is already within an e-mail in my account that I have already received, would changing my password prevent any more spamming e-mails from being sent out in My Name???  So I took things one step further than what the Experts are advising us to do and I thought just maybe by sharing with you what I have done, it would give many of you the same piece of mind that I now have and that is this isn't going to happen to me every again, or at least not in the way it was done in the past!!!

   

So this is what I have DONE TO STOP IT!!!  First I logged into all my on line E-mail Accounts and clicked on Contacts, I then exported all contacts for each account and saved them to my hard drive as a "CSV" File.  Once I had "MyAddressBook4xxxxxx.csv" saved on my hard drive for each account, I then opened them using Excel.  TA DA, it worked.  Everyone one of my contacts were there and I was able to see all the information for each contact in an Excel spread sheet in columns, e-mail addresses, first name, last name, phone numbers, street address, city, state etc etc.. All the information that was on line, was now in files on my hard drive.  And when I wanted to send an e-mail to one of my contacts, all I had to do was click on their e-mail address within these Excel files and my computer's default e-mail program opened up and I was ready to compose an e-mail to them and send it.  So after seeing this worked in the way I was hoping it would, I then re-logged into each one of My On Line E-mail Accounts and clicked on Contacts and DELETED EVERYONE WITHIN MY ADDRESS BOOK(S)!!!  So now in the event any of my on line e-mail accounts are hacked in the future or if there is a worm with in any of my accounts, well SURPRISE to either the HACKER or to the WORM, for you have NO ONE to send ANY of your spamming e-mails to ANYMORE from any of my ACCOUNT(S)!!!  Hoping this information is of help to someone and with all this said, here is...
