I am trying an experiment.

Google Blogger has closed three of my blogs.  I have requested an appeal review by an administrator to see if I have violated the Terms of Service which I agreed to when I opened these blogs.  My first blog was appealed on August 3rd, 2009 and again on August 14th, 2009.  I left my blog exactly as it was so the reviewing administrator could make a fair and accurate determination.  As of today there has been no response.

After backing up my first blog, I have deleted all posts, customized header, customized footer, and any possibly objectionable widget.  I posted the following picture:
I continue to await a response to my appeal.

I repeated the same steps on my second blog which was first appealed on August 14th, 2009. On that blog I again await a response to my appeal.

I have left my third blog exactly as is and filed an appeal on August 20th, 2009.

Google Blogger has access to what was posted and to what is now posted.  As a control I have opened two new blogs:  Jeff's Puppy Palace and Daddy Jeff's Puppy Palace.  I have the above puppy pic as the only post in each of these two control blogs.

              http://daddyjeffspuppypalace.blogspot.com/

If the word "Daddy" in the title is a Blogger no-no, my two Daddy's Bad Boys blogs will remain closed and Google Blogger should close Daddy Jeff's Puppy Palace.

If the content of a blog is the only reason for closing a blog, and if a Blogger administrator actually does review a blog for violation of TOS, than my two Daddy's Bad Boys blogs should be unlocked.

If there is no actual review process by Blogger administration, than my closed blogs will remain locked and my new blogs will remain open.

I am trying to determine if the Blogger appeal process actually works.

I will keep you informed.

Jeff, have you considered reporting what Blogger is doing to the gay media, such as The Advocate and Unzipped?

JA, no not at this time. I am not yet convinced that Blogger is unfairly targeting gay blogs. I know straight blogs are experiencing the same thing. I have contacts who are monitoring the straight blogs.

My theory at this time is that Blogger has the Terms of Service worded in such a way that there is no clear line in several areas. I know they have lawyers up the ass, and their TOS has been through many legal hands. Over time I will try many "experiments" to see if I can find anything that is factual. Currently I am working on Google Blogger's promise to respond to an appeal in 48 hours.

It has not escaped my attention that someone from the media might be following this particular blog.

I am also posting your previous problem with making a copy of your blog as a blog posting and perhaps someone else will have a suggestion for you.

Thanks, JA!

It seems that once you get on bloggers bad side, it do not matter what you change your blog name to,or what photos you post, blogger will just nuke your blog again, just ask Amar of Amars World about that,he lost 8 blogs befor moving.(TC701).

I have noticed that Google is closing a lot of gay blogs lately. Why all of a sudden? Do you know of anything?

I've notice a number of gay blogs recently have had this opening announcement:

Some readers of this blog have contacted Google because they believe this blog's content is objectionable. In general, Google does not review nor do we endorse the content of this or any blog. For more information about our content policies, please visit the Blogger Terms of Service.

Anon of 3:13 PM...These blog closing are not new. I have heard that Google Blogger had a reputation of closing blogs for violation of the Terms of Service....as they should....I'm just surprised to find out that I violated the TOS and have no idea which Term I violated.

Kent: that is correct. However, the blog owner can still log in and Blogger offers a button to click for a review by a real live administrator. They offer a 48 hour review. I have never yet heard from an administrator after filing an appeal. Every two weeks or so after an appeal is sent, the button shows up again and the process starts all over again.

I wonder if the lock out is done by a real live person or if it is generated in some other fashion. There is also indication that a review is ever done since I now a a photo of a puppy dog on two of my locked blogs and nothing else. I let what few facts I have speak for themselves.
